No more failures, my last eye surgery!
RINE Plastic surgery clinic
What is RINE's Eye Revision Surgery?
Over 10,000 eye surgeries performed! Expertise is crucial for revision.
Eye revision is for thick “sausage” lids, unraveled lines,
severe scarring, multiple folds, or asymmetry.
Revision is more complex as tissues may be damaged from the first surgery,
requiring advanced skills to correct lines and minimize scarring.
It is often chosen to improve eye shape and correct asymmetry.

Eye Revision Cases by Type
Case 01
Thick double eyelid line (“Sausage eyes”)
Caused by setting the line too high or insufficient fat removal.
Improved by adjusting line height, removing fat, or ptosis correction.
Case 02
Asymmetrical eyes
Due to poor line design or differing muscle strength in each eye,
corrected by adjusting line thickness or muscle strength through revision.
Case 03
Loose or unraveled lines
Weak fixation causes the line to unravel, often creating multiple folds or asymmetry.
The line is redesigned and firmly fixed to prevent recurrence.
Case 04
Multiple folds on the upper eyelid
Caused by excessive fat/muscle removal or incorrect fixation,
resulting in unnecessary adhesions; corrected by releasing adhesions and adding volume.
Case 05
Severe scarring
Due to issues during previous suturing or excessive tissue removal.
Improved by removing scar tissue, adjusting fixation depth, and connecting muscles.
Case 06
Issues with pupil exposure
Occurs when surgery ignores opening strength or after excessive canthoplasty.
Improved by ptosis correction or canthoplasty restoration.

Q&A
Eye Revision
I had incisional surgery first; can I have non-incisional revision?
Yes, non-incisional revision is possible even after incisional surgery.
However, if the line is too thick and needs lowering, or if there is severe ptosis or sagging skin, incisional revision is required. Consult a specialist for the best method.
Will scarring get worse after revision?
It depends on the method and case; scarring doesn’t necessarily get worse.
Non-incisional revision leaves no extra scars. In incisional revision, removing old scars during surgery can actually improve the appearance.
